About Sunny Jo

• Born & raised in New York
• Moved to Florida at age 20, stayed twenty one years
• Gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who now has 2 girls of her own
• Started a secretarial business, my first business
• Started a Screenprinting & Embroidery business
• Adopted the cutest puppy and named him Gomez
• Pursued a career as a Software Test Engineer
• Published an Information Technology Newspaper, the only one of its kind in Florida
• Became a TIPS certfied Bartender and met many wonderful people
• Moved full-time into the RV life
• Traveled throughout Arizona & California in my motorhome
• Started following my dream of writing a cookbook
• A cute little Chihuahua found her way to my home & is now a part of the family. Her name is Ta’Tae which I’m told means “great spirit who has come to find me” in Sioux.
• Gomez is still with me 16 years later! (Gomez passed away on 2/6/2011)

As a child growing up in an Italian household, I became accustomed to enormous amounts of food hitting the table each night. Sunday dinners were even more overwhelming as the entire family descended upon Gram’s house for a full five course meal, complete with pastries and a family game of poker afterward. Since then, I’ve gone on to cook for my own family, which was by no means as large as the one in which I grew up. I am now cooking for just myself and loving it! I have learned to adapt to new ways and methods of cooking and have simplified my life in the kitchen without sacrifice. I hope to pass these newfound skills on to you in my new cookbook.
